Today marks the 160th installment of Phish.net's Mystery Jam Monday. On the heels of a rare victory by the Blog, this week's winner will receive TWO MP3 downloads courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, you'll need to be the first person to identify the song and date of the mystery jam clip. Each person gets one guess per day, with the second “day” starting after I post the hint. A hint will be posted on Tuesday if necessary, with the answer to follow on Wednesday. Good luck!
Answer: First-time winner @Penn42 wins two MP3s, as he impressively identified the post-PYITE 2/13/97 Jam as this week's mystery clip.

And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.

And the best part was I knew this jam the second I heard it. Didn't even have to dig.
Wow, yeah, right there around 5:45: http://www.phishtracks.com/shows/1997-02-13/jam

Was certain it was fall '95...combed Tweezers and Diseases given the A key, but agreed with the Melt-y feel, especially considering the fleeting C# at the very end of the MMJ clip.
@bl002e: nice pick; way to show how the the '97 sound didn't come together until later that tour.
That jam segment is what I'd expect "Twenty Years Later" to sound like if it ever really gets "out there".
