Was just chatting with a friend of mine who brought up an interesting point. Is there a chance that perhaps the crazy, exploratory jams of the Bethel/Detroit/Blossom shows brought Trey back to a dark place he's hoping to avoid? Maybe he's playing it safe for his own mental health... Highly doubt this is the case, but definitely marinating on the thought while re-listening to the ATL shows.
