Review by TheEmu

TheEmu As Trey mentions a couple of times, they were trying a lot of new songs at this show, so much of the show (Bathtub Gin, PYITE, Reba) are...well, works in progress. Gin is one of those early chaotic versions. One note about the Reba - it still has the "Don't Get Me Wrong" Bag It, Tag It bridge section, during which there is some wacked-out Cactusness. A few other tunes (Foam, I'm looking at you) are also on the shaky side. All of this kind of nudges the show toward two-star status, in spite of an unusual SOAMelt -> Bundle of Joy -> YEM run. HOWEVAH -- The Bowie is pretty darn interesting, long and tease-filled. I've commented before about how it seems like Bowie used to be the go-to jam song before YEM, and it definitely delivers here. And, for the record, I find Bowie to be an intimidating song, so the evil Sesame Street tease is just downright scary. And I'm writing this in a sparsely occupied hotel on Halloween...now I'm freakin' myself out!

Sorry...yeah, the Bowie saves this and bumps it back up to three stars IMHO.
