The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
Review by Rfreeman
The band spent most of set break chatting with us - I remember asking if they were inspired by the GD and Trey and Jon saying they were more Zappa fans.
Songs I clearly recall include Bouncing Around The Room, Golgi Apparatus, You Enjoy Myself, Contact, Dinner And a Movie, Lawn Boy, Squirming Cool.
Liked the show enough that I bought the Lawn Boy and Junta cassettes and a T shirt and went to see them over the next 4 months at the Brewery, Pterodactyl, 23 East Cabaret, their return to the Cats Cradle, and Townshend Family Park - which was quite an eye opener seeing them play for a crowd that was closer to 12,000 than to 12.
