Set 1 opens with DaaM. Oh Kee Pah > Suzy keeps the energy up and is well played. Nice version of YEM with a solid B&D section and vocal jam. There was minor digi-noise present during parts of YEM. The vocal jam slides into a decent Gin. Trey calls out Tom who was present that night before launching into Bouncin’. There was a little slip up at the start, otherwise it was well played. Possum rips! Funny banter preceding Carolina about needing a ride back to Burlington after the show. Bowie took a more traditional approach tonight but was still very strong.
The second half opens with DJ Pierre Robert from 93.3 WMMR introducing the band and making some quick announcements. The band launches into a fiery La Grange to kick things off. A nice version of Esther cools things down before they rip into a solid version of Bag. Rocco is introduced to the stage to sing Trey’s sister Kristy a funky Happy Birthday. Trey dedicates Donna Lee to Kristy for her birthday. Strong Mike’s Groove to close out the set. Groove is the highlight of the trio per usual. I Didn’t Know shows up in the encore slot for the second night in a row. Of course “His Majesty the King of Prussia” delivers another fine vacuum solo tonight. The band burns the house down with Highway to Hell. Glenn Miller’s Moonlight Serenade plays over the PA to end the show.
