Review by thelot

thelot Horrible SBD source available for this partial second set source. Compared to last nights amazing audience recording this one leaves a lot to be desired. Somebody recorded over an old Grateful Dead bootleg which bleeds through during the quite sections. Also, the pitch seems to be a hair slow.

The recording cuts into the Marco section of Antelope. Trey quotes Bob Dylan’s “Fixin’ to Die” towards the end.
After Lawn Boy you can hear Shakedown Street bleeding through the recording. lol Trey mumbles through the OG brothel knife verse of Cavern. Page starts up HYHU, after a few seconds Mike and Trey start teasing Let’s Go from The Cars. Fish confesses he actually likes The Cars. He also confesses that he has to pee really bad so he’ll play the vacuum instead of his bone. lol Afterwards, Trey introduces the crew and talks about the band vs crew hockey game and how the crew lost 3-1. He didn’t want to embarrass them any further with the results of the band vs crew football game. lol Mike calls out Pete Schall at the start of Mike’s Song. Strange clipping sound towards the end of Mike’s? Hydrogen has a Fishin’ Hole tease from Page. Groove is in the Heart quotes and teasing from Trey to start Groove. Solid but short Groove. Trey tells everyone to remember that groove is in the heart! Before the encore Trey invites Russell Flanagan back to the stage. Nice fiddle solo in MSO. La Grange with fiddle was a nice change from the norm. They come back out for a second encore. Flanagan sounds great on Rocky Top. It’s too bad that same taper didn’t capture this one as well because it sounds like it was the better of the two nights.
