The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.

MGB kicked it off with a new song in Face. The nerves seemed to fade when Say Something kicked in. Mike knew we wanted him to "say something" so he joked about not moving his mouth while talking. I think many of the more introspective Phish fans can relate to Mike and really appreciated his sense of humor...especially when he asked us to go with him to Sears and sniff turpentine. Scott's Cruel World wasn't clicking too much but right before Sugar Shack commenced Mike looked at Scott with a smile and said "This is a good one." Of course the crowd lost it's mind and the show def kicked into high gear! After that my mind went to mush as I was lost in a psychedelic world of gooey syrupy dirty bass lines and dark experimentation. Great lighting, fun toys and gadgets, glow in the dark guitars....it all fit together into one great mind melting experience. Plus an Andelmans' Yard encore which pleased the long timers. Props to Mike's bandmates. All super talented dudes. MGB is a must-see!!
P.S. the fans yet again proved to be some of the nicest and coolest peeps around. The vibe was positive up front in spite of the show being super crowded and sold out. Bonus!
