Absolutely excellent show. My first time seeing Mike Gordon band in any form and I was blown away by the quality of the jams in the overall tightness of the band. Mike and Scott make some really thought changes look effortless in almost every jam in the first set. Clear highlights for me were Are You Some Kind Of Hypnotist?, Angatta, and Cities (Scott channel in Byrne perfectly here. Very talking heads esque) > Sughn Never Sets.
Tight second set as well. Pretty much Acid Man through I Am Random is the section to listen to just straight amazing this from everyone super tight funky bass licks and really relentless quick pace drumming bringing it all together. Awesome Meat thrown in there for good measure.
Super nice encore. Funky Bitch. Enough said.
Overall highlights: Hypnotist, Angatta, Meat, Crazy Sometimes
