Good rocking Llama to open up with, but kind of a weak ending. Ice was good, but not great and a little early tonight. Fee had a weird fade out on the recording, maybe some harsh digi-noise needed to be cut? The song itself was ok. Maze rocked as usual, but was pretty average. Fluff was good, no real troubles in the travels either. Paul started off a little rough, but settled into a nice dynamic jam. Stash also contained a dynamic jam and sounds like Mike is teasing Tela in there. Forbin's was sloppy and rushed, but not too bad, and had a great story with it as usual. Mockingbird was ok, a little spotty at times. Bowie has the usual antics and signals in the intro. The composed part was a little off, but the jam was a rocking end to an average first set.
Fish stops the drum part for some reason at the beginning of a rocking, but lame Axilla. It just sounded unsure and timid to me. Poor Heart was also just ok for me. Huge bust-out with Caravan and it's been so long that the band needs a minute to get it together, but the improvised solos were great. Punch was ok; it's still getting the rust brushed off of it. Tweezer rocked with a nice jam and a tease ending. Glide was pretty solid and well played. YEM was good, no real problems up front and the back end jam was nice as was the vocal jam. HYHU brings Fish out as the crowd follows the lead with an "Ahhhhh", before a short and sweet Rosie. Maybe they were short on time as the expected Tweeprise quickly wrapped up the pretty good second set.
Everyone gets shushed for a good Carolina and then a nice dedication to Trey's friend before a ripping Fire takes us home.
Good, but not great tonight overall. The only reason I upped this one to four stars is for the Caravan bust-out. Otherwise this one should stay about where it's at, three to three and a half stars.
