The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.

The Attic in Greenville was the best place to catch the college circuit bands that could handle large crowds...capacity was 250-300? I saw Widespread Panic, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Indecision, Blue Dixie, Gibb Droll, New Potato Caboose, etc. there over the late 80's-late 90's.
A friend from Vermont gave me the heads up on Phish and said I had to go check it out. There were several mic stands set up in front of the board. The stage was only about three feet off the floor, but visibility was good even for me(short).
I had never heard these guys before, so I was hanging on every note. The trampolines were pretty cool, I'd never seen that done. So I was pretty blown away by the show.
I've seen quite a few since then.
Thanks Phish for the long ride!
