Great show! I was here. This was easter sunday. This place no longer exists. It was a weird place with those blurry glass blocks for windows and was sort of loungey..I recall someone lighting a candle and putting it on Paiges piano. I blew out the wick and tossed it...I saw the entire band in the bathroom at set break. Most people did not even know who they were but many of us did and it was a crazy scene during antelope...it was dark in there and bathroom was all red- I took a piss between Trey and Paige and just said thanks a lot and busted out a story about Halloween in 1989 at Goddard ( they handed out macaroni). Funn show. I ended up driving back to santa cruz...then up the arcata for the next show- which is where I was living.

Night 3 in Cali features another decent digital audience recording. This almost sounds like it was recorded outdoors. Unfortunately, there’s some phasing throughout. Not sure what caused the wind noise, maybe venue fans? Fwiw, the phasing seemed to be less noticeable when wearing headphones. Big thanks to the mystery Cali tapers that captured everything on Dat!

Apparently the crew discovered on load-in that the venue power was insufficient to run both the sound and lights. CK5 picked up some candles at Pier 1 before the show to offer a little mood lighting. lol Things start off with a Buried Alive/ Cavern combo. A nice Jim follows. Trey wishes everyone a happy easter before launching into Cl. Forbin>Mockingbird. There’s a brief Gamehendge narration connecting the songs. Possum is very enjoyable. A man who needed no introduction provided Berkeley Square with a little vac solo during I Didn’t Know. They wrap up the first half with a solid Mike’s Groove. Fun Woody Woodpecker tease from Trey during Hydrogen. Nice opening to Groove and a blistering solo from Trey during the jam.

You can feel good about the splendid Hood opener. Hood pairs nicely with Sloth. Rippin’ mid set Stash and a fantastic Antelope set closer! Encore 1 features the very first Reba encore. Beautiful version! They come back out for a second encore. From all the call outs for songs it’s pretty clear that there were more than a few folks in the audience that had a pretty good understanding of Phish’s repertoire. Trey shreds on this Highway to Hell. Solid show!
