A tongue-in-cheek stab at a radio single that never was, "Heavy Rotation" was a staple of Page's solo shows during the fallow years between Phish 2.0 and 3.0. Phish attempted it just once, on 7/22/15, amid the flurry of tunes given their debuts at the tour-opening Bend shows in summer 2015. That evening, the song's author couldn't quite nail down the squirming coils of its interval-hopping melody line, and it got away, put back on the shelf for the foreseeable future. Fans of the song can however visit the original studio version on Page’s 2007 eponymous album.
